Moore County Opens Temporary Cooling Station for Residents During Extreme Heat
Carthage, NC (July 2, 2026) โ In response to forecasted extreme temperatures, Moore County will open a temporary Cooling Station to provide residents with a safe place to cool
West End Fire and Rescue, July 02
The Cooling Station will be located at the Moore County Sports Complex, 155 Hillcrest Park Lane, Carthage, NC, and will be open Thursday, July 2, through Monday, July 6, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. each day.
