1. Robeson County — 196 wildfires
2. Moore County — 195 wildfires
3. Richmond County — 189 wildfires
4. Caldwell County — 181 wildfires
5. Chatham County — 158 wildfires

In comparison, 17% of all wildfires in North Carolina for fiscal year 2022-23 occurred in Robeson, Richmond, Montgomery, Moore and Chatham counties.
