Our area is under Readiness Plan 5, meaning conditions are critical for wildfires to ignite and spread rapidly.

⚠️ What This Means for You:

πŸ”₯ No Outdoor Burning – All outdoor burning is strongly discouraged. Even small sparks can start a major fire.
πŸ”₯ Use Caution with Equipment – Avoid using machinery that creates sparks, such as chainsaws, welding equipment, and mowers, especially near dry grass or wooded areas.
πŸ”₯ Properly Dispose of Cigarettes – Never toss cigarette butts on the ground. Even a small ember can ignite dry vegetation.
πŸ”₯ Be Mindful with Vehicles – Don’t park on dry grass, and check for dragging chains or other metal that could spark.
πŸ”₯ Secure Trailer Chains – Loose chains dragging on the road can create sparks that ignite fires.
πŸ”₯ Report Smoke or Fire Immediately – Call 911 at the first sign of smoke or flames. Early detection can prevent disaster.
