| C. Forest Service has issued a statewide burn ban for all 100 counties, effective 6:00 PM today (Saturday, March 28, 2026) and continuing until further notice.
🔥 WHAT THIS MEANS: • All open burning is prohibited statewide • All burn permits are canceled • No new permits will be issued
This includes burning: 🍂 Leaves, limbs, and yard debris 🔥 Campfires and burn piles 🛢️ Burn barrels
🚫 NOT ALLOWED DURING THE BAN: • Open burning of any kind (outside of limited exceptions) • Fireworks and pyrotechnics • Campfires while camping
✅ WHAT IS STILL ALLOWED: • Grills and BBQs (where local ordinances allow) • Portable gas stoves
⚠️ IMPORTANT: • Violations can result in a $100 fine + court costs • You may also be held financially responsible for fire suppression costs • Fires within 100 feet of a residence may fall under local restrictions — check with your local fire marshal
With dry conditions, low humidity, and increased wildfire risk, it is critical that we all do our part to prevent fires.
